Jun Long LIM has been serving in the public sector since 2010. He is a third generation Singaporean whom served National Service in the RSAF, and holds a Honours degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and a diploma from Singapore Polytechnics (SP).


Jun Long LIM (LIM Jun Long; LIM J. L.; J. L. LIM) is a engineer for a statutory board of the Singapore Government. He has held various appointments and roles throughout his employment with the statutory board, as:
  • Research officer,
  • Research engineer,
  • Strategic planning manager,
  • Deputy lab head, 
  • Export control coordinate officer, and
  • Co-Investigator / Co-Principal Investigator.
He graduated with a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2010, and is concurrently a photonics field PhD Candidate at NTU. He also graduated a Diploma in Electronic, Computer & Communication Engineering (DECC) from Singapore Polytechnics (SP) in 2005. Jun Long has published over 20 book article, journal and conference publications (citation >300) and has given talks at Singapore's IHL institutes. Mr. Lim's current research focuses on photonics (fiber optics), robotics (autonomous), and botany (applied). Since 2010, he has been an advisor (>10 final year year students) at one of Singapore's top university, and a mentor/ supervisor (>15 students) for the Science Mentorship Programmes (SMP).
